New
As most of you know by now, Bryan and I will be moving to Columbus, Ohio next week. Bryan has accepted a position as a student ministries pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel Columbus. We have both been involved with Harvest for two or three years and have really loved it. Their philosophy of ministry, theological views, and preaching are so encouraging and Biblically sound. We have both been praying for this part of our lives for so long, and praying for this opportunity in Columbus for over six months. It's been a long time coming, but it was a journey of faith.
As excited as I am about this move and the new ministry opportunities in Columbus I'm also nervous. I've never been married to a youth pastor. As much as I can imagine what it will be like I can't know for sure. For many years I have wanted to be married to a pastor. I'm not sure why, except that I had a really amazing woman in my life who happened to be my youth pastor's wife. Cami was always there to be a listening ear, give Biblical advice, and encourage me in my walk with Christ. She instilled in me a love for the Bible and studying it deeper, while really striving to know the Lord better. Cami was a significant source of encouragement in some of the toughest times of my life. I just hope I can have half the impact on the girls in this youth group as Cami had on my life.
I am so excited for this new opportunity, but nervous. I am obviously ecstatic to be a youth pastor's wife, but I am also obviously not going to be able to do this in my own strength. This is a very new stage of life and will bring many new experiences and challenges. I am so grateful for the way God has provided this job and this opportunity, and I am trusting Him to continually give me the wisdom and strength to do it well.
1 Chronicles 16:11 "Seek the LORD and his strength; Seek His presence continually".
You are going to be a great Pastor's wife. They are so blessed to have you.
